Can I save documents on my computer hard drive (my local C: drive)?

While you are able to store documents to your computer’s hard drive, this should always be considered temporary as the files/documents are not backed up. If your computer hard drive fails or your computer is stolen, IT will not be able to recover your data unless it has been saved on a network drive. To ensure the integrity of your files/documents they should be saved to a network drive (for example, J: drive, S: drive, etc.). The network drives are backed up on a regular schedule.
